The institute has a long-standing relationship with the food processing industry. We regularly train specialists, provide consultation services for enterprises and conduct scientific and applied research covering a broad spectrum of food-related issues.

Specific areas of emphasis in which we provide consultation and research support to the food processing industry include:

  • Food and food processing hygiene
  • Food safety
  • Functional foods and health-promoting additives
  • Experimental development of food products

 

Our most important areas of applied research are related to developing new food products. Since major clients and partners include milk and meat processing companies, our Microdairy and Meat laboratory are the primary structures that deal with the sector.
